Specimen	10 mL plain (RED - NO GEL) or SST (Gold top). Lithium heparin is acceptable but a recollect will be required for confirmation testing.
Paediatric Specimen	0.5 mL Plain SEPARATE TUBE
Minimum Volume	400uL serum or plasma
Add-on conditions	7 days @ 4°C, specimen kept for three months
Test Availability	Mon - Fri 0800 - 1600
Turnaround Time	Urgent: Hastings 2 - 4 hours / Central HB & Wairoa 24 hours (verbal report). Routine: 24 - 36 hours.
